TOWN CENTER, VIRGINIA BEACH: The Town Center Fountain Plaza comes alive with performances from local musicians and specialty guest acts. All concert series are free and open to the public. Enjoy live music on the Fountain Plaza Thursday through Sunday nights from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm (schedules fluctuate) beginning Friday, May 23^rd and continuing through Monday, September 1^st.

Come for the music. Listen to your favorite artists beginning this weekend. Talented musicians such as Hot Cakes, Good Shot Judy, Can U Dig It, Snack Bar Jones, Frank Sings Frank, The Tiki Bar Band, The Janitors, Midnight Rain, Better By Tuesday, and much, much more!

The Central Business District Association/CBDX presents Internship Day with Princess Anne High School, April 10, 11:30-1:30 pm, Town Center Westin Hotel.

The CBDA/CBDX Internship Day, in its 33^rd year, is designed to develop, teach, and mentor students as they explore career pathways across diverse business industries. This year, CBDA businesses will host 136 students, selected through a competitive application process, who will shadow and work alongside business leaders whose work aligns with their career interests.

The morning student work session culminates with a luncheon at the Town Center Westin Hotel, featuring guest speaker Danny Rubin, founder of “Rubin,” an online curriculum provider for career development. A graduate of Kempsville High School and the University of Virginia, Danny drew upon early roles in public relations and as a TV reporter for WTKR News channel 3. Danny also served in leadership roles with CBDX, CBDA’s “young professionals.”

CBDX will present selected Princess Anne High School students with $7,500 in college scholarships.

TOWN CENTER, VIRGINIA BEACH: Join us as members of the Virginia Beach City Council lead the countdown and light up the tree. Come enjoy the evening and watch the Christmas tree come alive and dance throughout the evening with over 5,000 lights! There will be free hot chocolate, free clam chowder, and special samples. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage at 6:00 PM.

Be mesmerized by the snow globes as they come alive with dancing elves, ballerinas, a yo-yo champion, drummer boy, tap dancers, and more! Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet little ones in their own Santa snow globe. Walk through the larger-than-life-sized ornaments!

Santa’s sleigh awaits you with holiday music abound! Be sure to check out our restaurant specials all weekend long.

This year, we have added a “Best Family Costume” contest too! There will be special trophies and prizes for each category!

He will be joined by special guests Anthony Rosano & The Conqueroos as well as DJ Mista Cham. This premier New Year’s Eve celebration in Virginia Beach kicks off with family fun at 7:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Music will begin at 9:00 p.m. Last Night on the Town has moved to a new location this year and will take place at the Town Center Fountain Plaza! It will be a real party in downtown Virginia Beach.

TOWN CENTER, VIRGINIA BEACH: Movies in the Plaza, a series of FREE outdoor movie screenings each Saturday night at sunset, begins Saturday, September 7. The films will be presented on a large outdoor screen in the recessed area of the Town Center Fountain Plaza. Limited seating is available; first come first served! You are encouraged to bring your own chairs and blankets and prepare for an evening of family-friendly fun. Parking is always free at Town Center! There will also be FREE popcorn while it lasts and FREE hot cocoa as the cold weather arrives!

TOWN CENTER, VIRGINIA BEACH: Virginia Beach Town Center opens its doors and sidewalks to all college, high school, and advanced learning graduates along with those who have received any academic achievement.

Town Center is proud of our graduates and sends you inspirational and uplifting messages from local artists created just for you.

We are providing the backdrop and inspiration for 7 Hampton Roads artists from Old Dominion University’s Department of Art to create inspirational messages through art on the sidewalks of Town Center.

We welcome back Rick Nickel, art professor from Old Dominion University, who has carefully selected some of the best artists in Hampton Roads. We will be featuring the work of Avery Keyes, Kim Jones, Rosemarie Spracklin, Clair Landfear, Chauncey Holder, and Jing Qin. Even Professor Nickel himself will share his artistic talents!

Wander the streets of Town Center from May 1^st to June 14^th, weather permitting. Don’t forget to check out the special art on the stairs to Zeiders and Cantina Laredo. All Town Center restaurants will have their doors open for you to enjoy their cuisine or you can purchase a memorable gift from one of our many retailers.

TOWN CENTER, VIRGINIA BEACH: The Central Business District Association and IMGoing are pleased to announce The Band Perry, with special guest Ripe, will headline the 2025 edition of Last Night on the Town. Virginia Beach’s premier New Year’s Eve celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Town Center of Virginia Beach.

Now in its twelfth year, Last Night on the Town (LNOTT) was created by the Central Business District Association as a FREE, family-friendly celebration that brings the community together to welcome the new year. 13 News Now will provide live event coverage and main stage EMCEEs.

Attendees can enjoy entertainment and music on an LED dance floor, including a children’s dance contest for kids under 12 years old. Prior to the start of festivities, dinner reservations are available at a variety of Town Center restaurants offering specially curated menus.
