Big Boi to Headline Virginia Beach’s “Last Night on the Town” New Year’s Eve Celebration With Special Guest Rocky 7

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (October 1, 2026) – The Central Business District Association (CBDA) and IMGoing announced today that Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist Big Boi will headline Virginia Beach’s 2026 “Last Night on the Town” New Year’s Eve celebration, with special guest Rocky 7. The free, family-friendly event takes place Thursday, December 31, at Town Center of Virginia Beach, with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. ET.

Now in its 13th year, Last Night on the Town brings the community together to celebrate the final night of the year with live music, entertainment and activities throughout Town Center. 13 News Now will provide live event coverage and serve as the evening’s EMCEEs.

In addition to the main stage performances, attendees can enjoy music by DJ A1 and entertainment on an LED dance floor, including a children’s dance contest for kids ages 12 and under. Prior to the start of festivities, dinner reservations are available at a variety of Town Center restaurants offering specially curated menus.

VIP tickets go on sale on Wednesday, October 14 at 12 p.m. ET. Big Boi is a defining voice in Southern hip-hop, best known as one-half of the legendary duo OutKast and a foundational member of Atlanta’s influential Dungeon Family collective. Alongside André 3000, he helped shape the sound and culture of modern hip-hop with OutKast selling more than 25 million albums worldwide and earning seven GRAMMY® Awards, including Album of the Year for the diamond-certified Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. Big Boi launched his solo career with the acclaimed 2010 album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, followed by Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors and Boomiverse. Rocky 7 is a powerhouse six-piece Electro-Rock/Pop fusion band featuring an electrifying lineup of Virginia’s finest musicians. Parking and Wi-Fi are always free in Town Center! We recommend garage parking.  Be mindful of on-street parking time limitations. In inclement weather, all outdoor entertainment may be canceled and posted on the Central Business District Association Facebook page.
